Kirin Cosmetics Co., Ltd. selected as ‘2021 Korea Consumer Brand Award’

Kirin Cosmetics Co., Ltd. (CEO Byung-Jun Lee) was selected as the ‘2021 Korea Consumer Brand Award’.

Kirin Cosmetics Co., Ltd. opened its doors to the domestic hair care market in April 1999 and entered 11 countries on four continents, including the United States, Europe, Asia, and the Middle East.

Backed by 20 years of know-how and top-notch technology, Kirin Cosmetics is the '2021 Korean consumer brand organized by the Korea Consumer Council (Chairman Eun-Young Cho) and the Electronic Information Personnel Association (Chairman, Kyung-Soo Na), and surveyed and evaluated by the Korea Consumer Assessment Service. 146 out of 150 points in the Brand Distinction (content uniqueness, superiority, and convenience differentiated from other trademarks) category, and 100 in the brand IP (Intellectual Property, patent, trademark/service mark design registration, domestic and international legal protection) category. It was awarded the award with a high score of 98 out of 98 and 190 out of 200 in brand management (brand strategy, development, application, performance measurement, and continuous improvement).

Currently, Kirin Cosmetics’ main hair care brand, ‘NINEMILA’, means ‘9 miracles’, which means ‘making miracles with 9 categories of products’.

According to an official from Kirin Cosmetics' PR team, "Nine Mila Beer Shampoo Hair Loss Shampoo contains brewer's yeast extract and acts on the hair and roots to make it elastic and help relieve hair loss symptoms." It has been verified and has been approved by the Ministry of Food and Drug Safety and has obtained 99% EWG green grade.”

Another product, Nine Mila Apple Mint Cooling Shampoo, contains apple mint leaf extract to give a cooling effect to the scalp and to help balance oil and moisture in oily scalp with a deep cleansing effect. In the case of Ninemila Seed Oil Hair Essence, the seed ingredient hair oil strengthens the hair barrier and forms a coating film to prevent cracking and protect from hot heat.

Meanwhile, Kirin Cosmetics Co., Ltd. was awarded the 1 million dollar export tower at the same time as the cumulative export of hair dye to the US exceeded 10 million in November 2005. After that, it started exporting to Asian markets such as Hong Kong and China, and since 2008, it has expanded its scope of export to Europe, the Middle East, and Vietnam in earnest. The Osong plant, completed in 2011, is expected to be positioned as a hub for Kirin Cosmetics, which will enhance the status of the ‘Nine Mila’ brand launched last year.
